Rita AlegriaRita Alegria has been a Speech and Language Therapist since 2000. She holds a PhD in "Language Disorders and Development, Specialty Language Disorders". Since 2008, Rita has been a lecturer at Escola Superior de Saúde Fernando Pessoa. In addition to er teaching role, Rita serves as a clinical supervisor, a scientific reviewer in her field, and a guest lecturer at national and international congresses. She is a published author and co-author in national and international journals. Her PhD research focused on speech therapy in a water-based setting for patients with UVFP or bilateral VFN. As a former high-level competitive swimmer, she has a deep understanding of biomechanics in water and has applied these insights to speech therapy interventions in aquatic settings. Over the last 20 years, she has incorporated these skills into her private practice, offering voice and communication skills coaching in water for singers, actors, and individuals with speech and language disorders.
