Rob CrisellRob Crisell lives in Temecula, California with his wife and their two children, ages 13 and 17. He is a former book and magazine editor, non-profit director, and attorney. He is currently works as an actor, author, and teacher. He graduated in 1993 fom Yale University. He received his law degree from George Mason University School of Law. Prior to working full-time as a writer and teacher, Rob served as an editor at Highlights for Children and American Archaeology magazines. He also was an editor at John Muir Publications, a children's and travel publisher in Santa Fe, NM (now defunct). His work has been published in numerous magazines and newspapers. He regularly speaks about the book in "meet the author" presentations at schools around southern California. As a self-described Shakespearean (or "Bardolater") Rob has studied, reviewed, acted in, and watched the works of William Shakespeare for 25 years. He has acted in seven of Shakespeare plays (including Hamlet, Macbeth, Tempest, Romeo and Juliet) primarily with Shakespeare in the Vines, a local theatre company in Temecula, California. For the last 7 years, Rob has regularly taught the works of Shakespeare in area elementary, middle, and high schools as a visiting actor-instructor. Currently, he is a visiting teaching artist in the local school district as well as an instructor with Shakespeare in the Vines. In 2016, Rob gave a TEDx Talk entitled "How NOT to Hate Shakespeare." His one-man show entitled "Red, White & Bard! A Celebration of Shakespeare in America" premiered at several local theaters in spring 2018 and will become part of his regular teaching program.
