Robert Charles MooreThe work I am currently creating explores my roots as an urban aerosol painter having traveled from the east to west coast. Through research and schooling I've integrated key events from my past into my creative techniques. I make abstract works and magery that represent my urban environment, nostalgia and dreams. I approach each abstract work based on the formal qualities of materials I collect, depending on color and composition. I start with subject matter that I find inspiring, like graffiti, skateboard culture or more abstract concepts like class and culture. I dedicate time and attention into developing a cohesive and complete concept. I create thumbnail sketches, which are then translated into balanced compositions in Photoshop. Art is my passion. I seek knowledge and understanding through finding new and exciting connections between life and art. I question everything I see, I take what excites me and revamp it into my own vision.
