Redmon received a D.B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computational Mathematics from the University of California, Riverside in 1998, a M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame in 2000 and a PhD in Aerospace Engineeing Sciences from the University of Colorado, Boulder in 2012. His activities within NOAA’s National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI) Solar and Terrestrial Physics section have included developing radar systems; studying auroral processes, and magnetic fields; calibrating space-borne magnetometers; and investigating satellite anomalies.
