Roger J HimmelRoger Himmel wrote his first published story in high school while a student at The Cheshire Academy in Cheshire, CT. He graduated from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio in 1970, and then went into the US Army Reserves. While living in Cleveland, hetaught creative writing at night and wrote advertising and corporate collateral during the day. He created and produced The Adventures of the Lollipop Dragon, a series of 300 audio/visual programs sold to elementary schools by Singer. He also licensed the dragon characters on toys, puzzles, and ceramic items. Standard Publishing also used his characters in their summer Vacation Bible School program. He is a fifty-year Freemason with active membership in Rockton Lodge No. 316 in Kent, Ohio, and Millbrook Lodge No. 97 in Raleigh, and is a 32-degree KCCH member of the Raleigh Scottish Rite.
