Roluah PuiaRoluahpuia is Assistant Professor of Sociology in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee (IITR). He was a recipient of the Arvind Raghunathan and Sribala Subramanian Visiting Fellowship (2018-2019) a the Lakshmi Mittal and Family South Asia Institute, Harvard University. His research interests broadly concern identity, nationalism, development, and borderland studies. His latest article, 'Unsettled Autonomy: Ethnicity, Tribes and Sub-National Politics in Mizoram, Northeast India' (2021), was published by the journal Nations and Nationalism and was awarded the 2020 Association for the Study of Ethnicity and Nationalism (ASEN)-Nations and Nationalism essay prize in memory of Dominique Jacquin-Berdal.
