Roni C Ashford
Roni Capin Rivera-Ashford is a lifelong bilingual educator from Nogales, Arizona, who shares the gems of growing up in a multilingual, multicultural environment through her stories. All her books thus far (My Nana's Remedies / Los remedis de mi nana, Hip, Hip, Hooray, It's Monsoon Day / !Ajúa, ya llegó el chubasco!, RAULITO: The First Latino Governor of Arizona/El primer gobernador latino de Arizona, What Color Is Your Hand?/¿De qué color es tu mano?) are bilingual, bicultural, and educational, and have been recognized with national, state, and local awards. In 2017, Roni, along with her son Aaron Rivera-Ashford, co-wrote Miguel and the Amazing Alebrijes for the Disney/Pixar Academy-Award Winning movie Coco.
