Rustin M MooreDr. Rustin M. Moore is a distinguished veterinarian, academic leader, and advocate for the bidirectional mutual impact of the human-animal bond. Growing up on a hobby farm in the Appalachian hills of West Virginia, his early experiences with animals parked a lifelong commitment to nurturing human-animal connections.A first-generation college graduate, his journey reflects perseverance and dedication. Dr. Moore has dedicated over three decades to advancing veterinary education along with animal health and welfare. He serves as the eleventh dean of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine and as the inaugural Rita Jean Wolfe Endowed Dean in Veterinary Medicine.He has published over 125 peer-reviewed manuscripts, other scientific and continuing education papers, mentored dozens of graduate students and advanced clinical trainees, and delivered over 150 lectures globally. His 2016 TEDxOhioStateUniversity talk, "The Power of a Pet," highlights his leadership in promoting the human-animal bond, zooeyia, and One Health.
