Réjean CoutureRéjean Couture is currently Full Professor at the Department of Pharmacology and Physiology at the Faculty of Medicine, Université de Montréal in Canada. After completing a PhD in Pharmacology at University of Sherbrooke, Canada, he was awarded Felloship Awards from the Medical Research Council of Canada (MRC) and the Fonds de la recherche en santé du Quebec (FRSQ) to pursue postdoctoral trainings in Pharmacology at Oxford University and in Neuroscience at McGill University. He is the author of over 225 original articles, books and book chapters, including 90 directly on kinins. He has supervised close to 60 graduate and postdoctoral students, many of whom now hold significant academic and other positions throughout Canada and internationally.He is known internationally for his seminal contributions in the field of Bradykinin and Substance P in pain and inflammation and in central autonomic control of blood pressure.
