S R LeicachProf. S.R. Leicach is Titular Professor in Chemistry of Biomolecules at the Agronomy School of the University of Buenos Aires (Buenos Aires, Argentina). She completed her Ph. D. (Chemistry)in 1990 from University of Buenos Aires, with are search workon the ammonolysis mechanism of perbenzoylated-L-arabinopyranoses. Afterward she worked on the synthesis of bioactive nucleocyclitols. She possesses more than 25 years experience of Teaching and Research at the same university. She has been working on secondary metabolites for the last twelve years, particularly on the relationships between structure and bioactivity, subjects related to Allelopathy and Chemical Ecology. During this last period she has oriented as director or co-director, 23 graduate and 5 post-graduate thesis. She has presented more than 40 research studies in national and international congresses, and published 20 papers in international journals, besides two books and three book chapters in the last ten years. She is a member of the Agronomy School Directing Council and of Counselling Committees at University of Buenos Aires.
