Sam KalenSam Kalen is the IU McKinney Family Chair in Environmental Law at Indiana University McKinney School of Law. From 2009 to 2024 he was at the University of Wyoming College of Law and most recently served at Wyoming as the William T. Schwartz Distinguihed Professor of Law and Associate Dean. Professor Kalen is a nationally recognized environmental, energy, public land, and natural resources professor. He is a co-author of Natural Resources Law and Policy (4th ed. Foundation Press 2025) and of Energy Follies: Missteps, Fiascos, and Success of America’s Energy Policy (Cambridge U. Press 2018), and he has authored numerous law review articles and book chapters.
