Dr. Samra Maqbool is an accomplished scholar and educator with a Ph.D. in Comparative Education from Shaanxi Normal University, Xi’an, Cina. She is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at the Smart Learning Institute of Beijing Normal University, Beijing, China, where she is actively engaged in research, teaching, and collaborative global initiatives focused on advancing smart learning environments and educational technologies. She has completed her postdoctoral research at the School of Education, Zhejiang Normal University, Jinhua, Zhejiang, China, with a focus on integrating artificial intelligence, augmented reality (AR), and virtual reality (VR) into educational leadership, management, and psychological practices. Dr. Maqbool’s research interests span Comparative Education, Educational Leadership and Management, Educational Psychology, Gender and Sociological Theory, and the application of Artificial Intelligence in Education. She is deeply involved in international projects recognized by organizations such as UNESCO, AIED, and ALECSO, including the Global Smart Education Network (GSENet) and the Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education Initiative (AIHEi). Throughout her career, Dr. Maqbool has held multiple academic and professional roles, including Visiting Lecturer at Bahauddin Zakariya University, Pakistan, and Program Associate Officer with the Women Development & Community Organization (WDCO) in Punjab, Pakistan. She also has experience working as a psychologist at Nishter Hospital Multan, Pakistan.
