He was previously a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the School of International Relations and Politics, Mahatma Gandhi Uniersity, Kottayam, Kerala. He did his M.A. in Politics and International Relations from School of International Relations and Politics (SIRP), Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU), Kottayam. Later on, he obtained M.Phil. and Ph.D. degrees from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi and University of Exeter, UK respectively.
