She then moved out west, where she received a Master's degree in Organizational Behavior and spent most of her career as a trainer, nstructional designer, technical writer, and business analyst. When her nephew died of alcoholism in 2009, she was stunned: How could this have happened? Determined to find answers, she spent six years after her nephew's passing, delving into the world of substance abuse and addiction. As someone who has an interest in almost everything and is willing to "follow the breadcrumbs," she was able to discover and share some of the lesser-known perspectives on, aspects of, and approaches to, substance abuse and addiction.
