Santwana HaldarDr. Santwana Haldar, a retired professor, taught in the government colleges of Odisha since 1978. She was awarded the Ph. D. degree by the Burdwan University, W. B., in 1979. Besides supervising eleven scholars who were awarded the doctorate degree b different universities, she was Associate Editor of The Atlantic Literary Review, New Delhi, and has been editing an annual journal, Journal of the Odisha Association for English Studies, Balasore, since 2011. She has to her credit 14 published books and about 75 research articles published India and abroad. Among her books there are T. S. Eliot: A Twenty-first Century View (Atlantic Publishers, New Delhi), The Fictional World of Gabriel Garcia Marquez (Prestige Books International), New Delhi), Lord of the Flies (Atlantic Publishers, New Delhi), Fakir Mohan Senapati and his Fictional World, (Prestige Books International, New Delhi), The Plays of T. S. Eliot, (Sarat Book House, Calcutta), Ten Nobel Laureates (Image Publications, Bhubaneswar) and others. One Odia book on Fakir Mohan Senapati was also published by her.
