Sarah J Barratt

Sarah J. Barratt is a qualifi ed Occupational Therapist with over 10 years of clinical experience in physical medicine, paediatrics and community practice. Her practice extends across England, Romania, India and New Zealand.

Her inerest in Special Education is both professional and personal. She worked as a school-based Occupational Therapist in a residential school in England with children of primary school age with physical disabilities. She has also provided training for staff in Romania and has lectured on courses to train Special Educators in India. On a personal level she has special needs of her own which include mild Cerebral Palsy and some visual impairment. She is currently a Lecturer in Occupational Therapy at Canterbury Christchurch University in Kent.

The Special Educator’s Tool Kit has been written to provide teachers, parents and families with a portfolio of resources and ideas to help them make the time that children spend at school enjoyable, memorable and fun.
