Sarojini NaiduSarojini Naidu was an Indian political activist and poet who made significant contributions to the Indian independence movement. Her exposure to both Indian and Western education influenced her political thinking and literary style. As a prominent figure in the freedom struggle, she worked closely with key leaders and was actively involved in movements such as the Civil Disobedience Movement. After independence, she became the first Governor of the United Provinces, marking a historic moment as the first woman to hold a gubernatorial post in independent India. She was married to Muthyala Govindarajulu Naidu and had five children: Padmaja Naidu, Leelamani Naidu, Jayasurya Naidu, Randheer Naidu, and Nilawar Naidu.
