He served as a consultant for the United Nations World Tourism Organization, Madrid besides completing research projects sponsored by University Grants Commission, All India Council for Technical Education, Indian Council of Social Science Research and GTZ, Government of Germany on tourism and hospitality. He has published 8 books and more than 60 research papers in high impact tourism and hospitality journals.
