Serella SavenkoAuthor Serella Savenko has taken a scenic career route. Savenko has a Bachelor degree in Sociology, a minor in Philosophy, and a Masters in teaching. Although this author started writing and illustrating early, there were also many detours along the ay. Savenko has worked at Renaissance Festivals as both vendor and performer, been a State Park Ranger, done teaching for elementary, middle, and high school grades, as well as worked various retail and food service jobs. When just a little kid, Serella was praised for art, writing, and creativity generally. However, "Author" and "Illustrator" never seemed like real, attainable jobs. Somehow, working the Renaissance Festival circuit seemed more realistic than being an author or illustrator, and life never seemed to have time for that plan, either. So having given up on being a "real adult" and trying to do "real jobs" Savenko has turned back to earlier aspirations and is now the author/illustrator of the new novel Conclusions to Beginnings.
