Serena April LuchenskiStudied for a BSc in Biology and an MSc in Epidemiology in Canada before moving to London. After working as an epidemiologist for a couple of years Serena became interested in the application of evidence in the real world and joined the UK Public Heath Training Scheme. During her time on the training scheme she undertook a number of projects and research studies with 'Inclusion Health' groups, such as people who use drugs, people who are homeless, sex workers and prisoners. This work inspired her to apply for an NIHR Clinical Doctoral Fellowship to develop a project that could make a real difference to the health of people facing social exclusion and an extremely high burden of health need.
