Shafiq Ul Rehman

Dr. Shafiq Ul Rehman is currently the acting dean and a senior assistant professor at the College of Information Technology, Kingdom University, Bahrain. His teaching and research experience spans more than 10 years. In 2017, he obtained his Ph.D.degree from the Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Malaysia. From 2017 to 2020, he served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), Singapore. In addition to editing 4 books, he has authored over 50 international research publications in the fields of cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, healthcare, IoT, and other emerging technologies. His expertise in these fields extends to academic and industrial consulting, as well as speaking and training at a variety of international organizations, conferences, and seminars. Currently, he is actively involved in several research projects pertaining to cybersecurity, artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare, IoT, and emerging technologies utilizing open-source platforms. His experience includes building AI tools for healthcare systems, IoT wearable devices, security systems for networks/communication protocols, and cloud/edge computing platforms & architectures.
