Shakir KhanDr. Shakir Khan is presently working as professor in Information Technology Department, college of computer and information sciences (CCIS) at Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University (IMSIU), Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He is listed in World’s Top 2% Scintists for 2024 executed by Stanford University and Elsevier, USA. He has 18+ years of rich national and international teaching, research and IT experience, including five years in King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He served as a chair/member of multiple committees like ABET, NCAAA, curriculum development for bachelor and master programs. He has sound research knowledge along with supervision of more than dozens of master scholars in different fields of Computer Science. He has published 100 plus publications in reputed international journals and conferences, 80 of them are indexed in web of science, and complete list of publication are available on Google Scholar. He has also published four books and three patents. He contributed in many International Journals and Conferences as Editor, Member of the Advisory board, Reviewer, Program Committee Member, Session chair and Keynote Speaker. His research interest includes Machine Learning, Data Science, AI, Cloud Computing, IoT, Bioinformatics, and E-learning. He received research excellence rewards for 2022 and 2023 by the Imam University. He has been awarded multiple research grants from Deanship of Scientific Research (DSR), Imam University, and from ministry of education, Saudi Arabia. Prof. Khan is delivering these projects timely and he is also doing collaborative research with other multiple universities. He received leadership award in the ACM Programming JAM 7.0 competition, held at Prince Sultan University by ACM Saud Arabia chapter as the team secured third position out of 40 teams from different Saudi universities. His project team showcased virtual history museum at DTEDUHACK2023 and was winner in MENA conference, a digital transformation education hackathon aimed at transforming the education sector in Saudi Arabia through innovative solutions powered by digital technologies, at Prince Sultan University.
