Shamsi AkbarShamsi Akbar completed her post-graduation in clinical psychology from Rohilkhand University Bareilly. She worked as a Clinical Psychologist Chandra Psychiatric center Bareilly. Thereafter in 2011 she moved to Lucknow and joined the Dept. of Geriatri Mental Health, King Georges Medical University Lucknow perusing research. In 2013 she got best Poster presentation award in 9th Annual National Conference of Indian Association for Geriatric Mental Health (IAGMH).In 2014 she developed a 1st scale in India for older adults “Scale for Satisfaction and Expectation of Older Adults in Old Age Homes.” In 2015 she received the “Best Research Paper” among medical science section K G’s Medical University Lucknow. In 2015 “Best Researcher Award ” in the Department of Geriatric Mental Health K.G s Medical University Lucknow. In 2015 she got IAGMH / INTAS award in National Conference of Indian Association for Geriatric Mental Health (IAGMH)She has number of publications in National and International Journals, Chapters in Books and has enlisted many presentation / participations at national and international conferences.
