Shan HailingShan Hailing was born in Shanghai, People's Republic of China. She received a degree of Bachelor of Law from the East China University of Politics & Law (ECUPL) in 1984, a Diploma for Special Training from the Shanghai Educational University i arts, pedagogy, psychology, logic and sociology in 1985, a Diploma for professional training from the Ministry of Justice of the PRC in private international Law in 1986 and a Diploma from the Ministry of Justice of the PRC in Hong Kong Basic Law in 1992. From 1991 to 1997, she taught private international law and real estate at the ECUPL. During 1997 and 1998, she did research as a visiting scholar at the University of Gent (Belgium). In 1999, she was appointed assistant professor for law at the ECUPL. In 2007, she got her doctoral degree in the University of Gent (Belgium). Since 2008, she has been the professor in the Law School of the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. She is a permanent member of Chinese Academy on Private International Law and a member of Chinese Academy on International Law. Since 2009, she has become a member of International Law Association (ILA) and International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI ).Her principal area of expertise is private international law, anti-dumping law and trade secrets law.
