Shannon WeberShannon Weber is the author of Feminism in Minutes and a book on US civics for children. She has also written for volumes such as The Feminism Book and Women: Our History. Shannon holds a Ph.D in Feminist Studies from the Universty of California and has taught courses in women's and gender studies, sociology, and education at several colleges and universities in California and Massachusetts, including Tufts University and Brandeis University. Her published scholarly work on LGBTQ+ social movements and history has appeared in various academic journals, encyclopedias, and edited collections. As a popular writer, Shannon's work has been published in venues such as AlterNet, Bitch Media, The Body Is Not An Apology, Everyday Feminism, and Teen Vogue. She is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College. Together with her partner and two pet children, she splits her time between the west and east coasts of the US.
