Shelley RushentI am a Mum of a now 25 year old daughter, who is 'Pumpkin' in The Adventures of Blue Bear series. This book, "The Adventures of Blue Bear: Meeting My New Family", is the second in a series of books on Blue Bear's Adventures. I've wanted to write thes books for over 10 years but something else always seemed to keep me busy. I finally decided that it was time to make my dream a reality. The first book, "The Adventures of Blue Bear: The Chosen One" was published in 2024. All the stories are inspired by actual events and Blue Bear is still part of our family 20 plus years on. We have all been on many adventures together and made some great memories. A little more about myself, I've had a small cleaning business for over 30 years and I truly love what I do. Since I decided to write The Adventures of Blue Bear, I was inspired to start my business, Green Apple Publishing. I'm very passionate about my garden and find it a very peaceful place to think and reflect. I treasure spending time with my beautiful Mum who sadly has dementia and has recently gone into care after my dad passing in Oct of 2023. I get pleasure in volunteering at Mums nursing home and spending time with all the other residents. Making someone happy in the moment is priceless, and it reminds me that the smallest things in life have the greatest impact. Always be kind and make someone's day with even just a smile.
