Sheri SavorySheri Savory, the Editor, is a well-known cookbook and genealogy, DNA book author. She is a Genetic Genealogist, Mother, Grandma, and Baker. Sheri currently lives in Los Angeles, CA with her daughter and two granddaughters. Sheri and Tammy both sharethe McNeil (Sheri) McNeill (Tammy) last name. Sheri has a great-grandfather born in Alvinston, ON Tammy's grandfather McNeill was also born in the small Canadian town. Recently they made acquaintances when Tammy contacted Sheri to try to find their genealogical connection. Unable to verify their McNeil/McNeill connection by DNA since their relationship is no doubt beyond the scope of the test available to them they continue to research the possibilities. Sheri published a cookbook from her mothers family recipes in 2018 called Savory's Southern Specialties. In discussion with Tammy, she mentioned her desire to produce a cookbook for her Facebook group about canning. Sheri offered to help edit and design it which began the process. During the layout process of this book of Tammy and Sheri proved by luck that they indeed are cousins but NOT as McNeil/McNeill's, yet.
