Sherry BarronWhile leading a short-term mission trip on the border of Hungary and Ukraine, Sherry Barron and her team worked with traumatized families brought to a family camp organized by Ukrainian Army chaplains. Many had traveled over twenty-four hours by trai, seeking hope and healing from the camp Sherry and her team hosted. One look into their weary eyes changed her forever. In that moment, she knew she had to do more. Compelled to take action, Sherry poured her decades of teaching experience into creating a trauma-healing tool designed specifically for the youngest victims of war. This heartfelt book was conceived as a gentle, supplementary, and creative resource for parents and caregivers to use with children aged five to eight. Sherry is the author of six books, several of which focus on helping children understand and cope when a parent has suffered from post-traumatic stress (PTS) and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) from the ravages of war. A NASCAR-loving, world-traveling missionary, she delights in sharing the love of Jesus, especially with children. Sherry and her husband live in Florida, where they enjoy sunshine and visits from their married son, daughter-in-law, and their adorable granddaughter.
