Shireen Mula

Shireen Mula is a playwright and theatre-maker.

Shireen has been playwright-on-attachment at The Royal Court Theatre and Associate Artist at both Ovalhouse and Nottle Theatre, South Korea. She is an Associate Artist with fanSHEN Theare Company with whom she’s created numerous works (most notably Lists for The End of The World (Summerhall) and The Justice Syndicate (UK & Ireland Tour). Shireen co-authored Why Is The Sky Blue? (Southwark Playhouse) which was nominated for two Offies. Her other plays include: 39 and Counting (Park Theatre), The Rise & Fall (Somerset House), Soon Until Forever (Theatre503), Same Same (Ovalhouse), Nameless (Arnolfini Theatre). Same Same was presented by the British Counsel in Italy, it was also shortlisted for the Royal National Theatre Foundation Playwriting Award, formerly the Meyer Whitworth Award (2013).
