Shyala Smith grew up on the sunny island of Sri Lanka. She is an award-winning copywriter and Fulbright scholar with a day job in advertising.
She loves chasing endless trails with her daughter and husband in search of magial island adventures. When she’s not writing, she entertains the idea of becoming a professional jockey (it only took a couple of horseback riding lessons).
