Siau SmithSiau Smith is a full time mother to her four sons and a part-time caregiver for her grandchildren. She taught in high schools in Kiribati prior to having children. She also worked in Australia as a qualified educator in numerous childcare centres. He passion and interest is teaching the children the Bible, literacy and numeracy. Siau is also a Sunday school Bible teacher. She has written articles for the Kiribati Newstar newspaper, where she serves as one of the directors. In addition, Siau is a former Secretary and Vice President of the Melbourne Kiribati Group Incorporated. Siau and her husband Garry, live in Australia with their family and a pet turtle named Leo.
