He served as president of three divisions of the American Psychological Association and was director of the Ford Foundation Program in the Humanities and the Arts (1964-1967). David Finkelman is associate professor of psychology at St. Mary's College of Maryland. Frank Kessel is a program director at the Social Science Research Council in New York City.
