Siobhan Vivian was born in New York on January 12, 1979. And while that might sound like a long time ago, it really isn't. She grew up in Rutherford, New Jersey, where she got into all sorts of trouble for speaking out of turn, bringing a stray dog to school in a stolen shopping cart, sharing homework with her friends, cracking jokes, skipping class, and not doing her assignments. It's almost a miracle she became a New York Times bestselling author. She published the novels The List, Not That Kind of Girl, Same Difference, A Little Friendly Advice, and The Last Boy and Girl in the World. She co-wrote the Burn for Burn trilogy with Jenny Han. She currently teaches Creative Writing at the University of Pittsburgh.
