Sonia Garcia Sonia Garcia is a professor of political science, coordinator of the women's studies program and a pre-law advisor at St. Mary's University in San Antonio. She also has served as chair and graduate director of the political science department. In addtion to publishing numerous articles on Latina politics, Dr. Garcia is a co-author of MEXICAN AMERICANS AND THE LAW: EL PUEBLO UNIDO JAM�S SER� VENCIDO and lead author of POL�TICAS: LATINA PUBLIC OFFICIALS IN TEXAS.
