Sophocles
Sophocles (495? BCE-406 BCE) was an ancient Greek tragedian who wrote over 120 plays, of which only seven have survived in complete form. He is known for his mastery of dramatic structure and his exploration of profound themes such as fate, moraliy, and the human condition. Sophocles's works continue to be studied and performed worldwide, cementing his legacy as one of the greatest playwrights of classical antiquity.
