Stephen StockwellStephen Stockwell is Professor Emeritus in Journalism and Communication at Griffith University. Previously he worked as a journalist at 4ZZZ, JJJ and Four Corners and as a press secretary. He plays keyboard and sings for Brisbane punk band, The BlackAssassins, was on the editorial collective of the Cane Toad Times 1983-91 and, as an independent film-maker, wrote and produced BrainBlast and other experimental, community and music videos. He taught at Griffith on the Gold Coast 1996-2016 and wrote All Media Guide to Fair and Cross-Cultural Reporting (with Paul Scott), Political Campaign Strategy and Rhetoric and Democracy and co-edited two books with Ben Isakhan - The Secret History of Democracy and The Edinburgh Companion to the History of Democracy.
