Steve Asbell Steve Asbell grew up chasing lizards in the Mojave Desert, later becoming an avid hiker, enthusiastic amateur botanist, and passionate gardener. He started a blog called The Rainforest Garden for his terminally ill mother, and now that she has passd away, he continues to garden for others and tend to the lush gardens that he planted for his neighbors in his apartment community. Asbell currently lives with his wife Jennifer in Jacksonville, Florida, where he makes his living as a freelance writer, blogger, illustrator, and photographer.
