Steve LloydSteve Lloyd had his first experience with business failure in 1976, when the business he joined upon leaving university went broke. That business had been established more than 30 years. Fourteen years later, during a serious economic downturn, he bean his long involvement with distressed businesses, when he found himself managing a team of bankers dealing with a large group of businesses that were experiencing financial difficulties. The downturn was so severe that the bank itself suffered serious losses and was ultimately split up and sold off. For the following seventeen years Steve was a consultant, advising and managing businesses through varying stages of the distress cycle, before joining a major Australian bank as a specialist workout banker to assist with the fallout from the Global Financial Crisis.
