Susan D TiemannSusan Tiemann began her writing career in high school as a columnist for the local newspaper, as well as editing and writing for the high school newspaper. She was a University Interscholastic League Ready Writing state champion in 1974, and after colege, was employed by Gannett Corporation as a newspaper editor, by Allied Arts and Associates as an advertising agency art director, and by 3M Corporation as a marketing and technical writer for 20 years. As a short-story writer and poet, she was nominated by the New Literati literary magazine for the 1994 Pushcart Prize (a national literary award). As co-owner of Outhouse Publishing in Austin, TX, and Yokai Publishing, LLP of the United Kingdom, she edited, illustrated, designed and oversaw print publication of books. She has written countless magazine articles, technical publications, manuals, video scripts, many short stories, a handful of poems and one novel, so far. The most important project regarding "Spirit" is her work to communicate what other people deem is the "paranormal" to explain how all of this is just normal, and that "supernatural" does not exist - only the natural world.
