She is most curious how the brain enables personal comprehension of self when new circumstances arise, such as the chronic diagnosis of multiple sclerosis, and the holistic naure of personal growth. She has received numerous awards for teaching. She has always had a passion for poetry since childhood when first learning how to read a rhyming book titled The House that Jack Built.
