Susan LeahySusan Leahy holds BCL and LLM degrees from University College Cork. She completed a PhD in University College Cork which was funded by the Irish Research Council for the Humanities and Social Sciences. This thesis examined the rules relating to conset in Irish sexual offences legislation and was entitled 'The Rules and Realities of Consent in Irish Sexual Offences Law: Perspectives on Reform'. During her time as a PhD candidate, Susan delivered lectures and tutorials in the Law Department in University College Cork. On completion of her PhD studies, Susan joined the law faculty in University of Limerick as a Lecturer in Law. She is also the Course Director of the BA in Criminal Justice programme. Her primary research interests are in the area of sexual offences and criminal law and procedure generally, as well as feminist legal theory, family law and medical law. Read More Read Less
