Susan M Strom

Sue Strom is co-author of Academic Intervention Success: A Whole-Child Approach to K-5 Achievement and a 35 year veteran teacher and specialized reading and math interventionist. She earned her coaching certificate from the National rban Alliance and has been an adjunct lecturer in math education and equity courses at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN. Believing school alone won't close the achievement disparities in this country, she embarked on sabbatical research trip to ten research-proven and growing youth development and tutoring programs across the country. Based on that research, and with the help of her research partner, Dr. Lucy Payne, she developed a unique and highly effective after school club model in tandem with partners from the Mechanical Engineering Department of the University of Minnesota.
