Swapnil A. DharaskarSwapnil Dharaskar is currently working as Dean (School of Energy Technology), Associate Professor & Former Head in the Department of Chemical Engineering, School of Energy Technology at Pandit Deendayal Energy University (Formerly Known as Panit Deendayal Petroleum University), Gandhinagar, Gujarat. His research areas are Energy Efficient Materials, Ionic Liquids, Nanotechnology, Deep Eutectic Solvents, CO₂ Separation & Conversion, Waste-water treatment, etc. He has over 15 years of experience in teaching and research. He completed his postdoctoral studies at the Department of Green Chemistry, Lappeenranta University of Technology, Mikkeli, Finland. He also worked as a "Visiting Research Scientist" at LUT, Finland. He handled the Larsen & Toubro project worth Rs. 1.5 Crore, and develop technology for the Production of Green Methanol. He developed the Centre of Sustainable Technologies at PDEU, and is also working as Coordinator of the Centre of Carbon Capture Sequestration at PDEU. In addition, Dr. Swapnil handled a DST-sponsored project (worth Rs. 60 Lakhs) on CO₂ separation under the Mission-Innovation Carbon capture scheme.
