Ashokkumar holds a impressive array of qualifications, including a Ph.D. in Nanomaterials, an M.E. in Computer Integrated Manufacturing, a Master's in Public Administration, a B.E. in Mechanical and Production Engineering, a B.Sc. in Mathematics, a Diploma in Automobile Engineering and a Diploma in Hindi. His early training in Electrical Domestic Appliances Repair and Maintenance during his +2 education further showcases his practical grounding in engineering disciplines. Prof. Dr. T. Ashokkumar also completed one year of specialized teaching methodology training at the Central Training Institute, Government of India, which has further enriched his pedagogical expertise.

Prof. Dr. T. Ashokkumar's Ph.D. research, completed at Anna University's MIT Campus with experimental work conducted at IIT Kanpur, focused on "Mechanical Alloying, Spark Plasma Sintering, and Characterization of Fe-Ni Nanopowders."
