T Y NorrisAuthor T.Y. Norris's journey has been one of obstacles, unfaltering determination, and hard-won success. Born on July 24, 1984 in Canton, Ohio, Norris experienced the hardships of poverty throughout his childhood. Even as an elementary school student he bore witness to the debilitating effects of drug and alcohol addiction in his community, and it was during this time that he found an escape in literature, becoming a voracious reader by the fourth grade. Though times were often hard, Norris's mother inspired him to write. Throughout the years to come, Norris held onto the dream that he would one day share his fiction with the world. Later, he dropped out of school to try and make money as a cashier at a local corner store. Once he'd earned his GED, he joined the United States Army and entered the nursing program. After the army, Norris decided to continue helping people as a nurse, and relocated to San Antonio, Texas, where he currently resides with his wife and five children. When not reading, writing, working, or spending time with his family, Norris enjoys cooking, fishing, basketball, travelling, and exercising. The Wistful Trail is his first novel. Read More Read Less
