Tara NairTara Nair, Ph.D., is currently Associate Professor at Gujarat Institute of Development Research in Ahmadabad. Prior to this, she has served as Head (Research), Friends of Women's World Banking (Ahmadabad) and as Associate Professor, Insitute of Rural Management, Anand. She was also a faculty with Mudra Institute of Communications. She is also a visiting faculty in Institute of Rural Management and Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication, Pune.

She has contributed in several publications such as Livelihoods and Financial Behaviour of Tribal Households: Linking Experience and Strategies; Rural Finance and Research for Rural Development; Understanding Livelihoods: A Review of Major Debates and State of India's Livelihoods Report 2012.
