Ted Rogers
Ted Rogers, O.C., LL.B., D.Sc., B.A., was president and CEO of Rogers Communications Inc. A graduate of Trinity College at the University of Toronto, Rogers bought CHFI while still a student, and by 1967 he was in the cable TV business. Rogers Comunications has grown into one of Canada’s most successful conglomerates. In 1990, Rogers was made an Officer of the Order of Canada. He had numerous other honours vested upon him by universities, business groups and philanthropic organizations from across North America. Ted Rogers passed away on December 2, 2008.
