Terry Ward TuckerTerry Ward Tucker, resident of Charleston, South Carolina, writes novels, screenplays, and teleplays about the South, the only landscape of heart she knows. Her newest book, INSPIRE YOU Daily Devotions, is a stand-alone guide for anyone seeking God trough Scripture and prayer, though initially Tucker wrote her devotional book as a resource for fans of Only God Can, faith-based film produced by Inspire You Entertainment. Tucker served as screenplay co-writer for Only God Can and sole screenplay writer for Hate Won't Win, a new faith-based film now in development. Another of Tucker's projects, Carolina Collections, includes five novels set in South Carolina - four in Charleston and one in Lancaster. The four Charleston books are MOONBOW OVER CHARLESTON, CHARLESTON'S ELEGANT SINNERS, ARLENA'S DESTINY (sequel to Charleston's Elegant Sinners), and CHARLESTON KISSES. The Lancaster novel is MOONLIGHT & MILL WHISTLES, winner of ForeWord Magazine's Silver Book of the Year Award. Although Tucker holds a PhD in reading education, she describes herself as "a recovering academic now paddling around in the sweet waters of literary and film art." Her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina is in music with piano and choral emphases, underscoring the fact that fine arts have intermingled in Terry's life since she wrote her first poem at age eight and played her first Back invention on piano at age eleven. Terry's style of writing reflects her interest in film. Look for short chapters, fast pace, surprising action, quirky characters, and humor on the run, yet always addressing serious topics.
