Reppetto (Ph.D., Harvard University) is a former Commander of Detectives in the Chicago Police Department and professor, dean, and vice-president at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City. From 1979-2005, he was the hea of the Citizens Crime Commission of NYC, a watchdog and research organization on crime and criminal justice. He was named New York State Governors Law Enforcement Executive of the Year in 1986.
