Thomas O McMannersThe illustrator is the author's son Thomas McManners. Thomas excelled at art in school but he decided to study Mechanical Engineering at the University of Bath. His research into renewable energy and electric cars gave him the background to join in te climate debate around the family dinner table. As the ideas in the book took shape, he commented that our continued use of fossil fuel is like setting fire to the furniture in your own house.
